Vampire Slayer/Vslayer is a self-taught musician that came out of the now defunct and once laureate dance punk band Maniqui Lazer. Immediately after their rupture this vampire killer ventured into a solo career and since then has aimed his digital and analog ammo toward a more personal (and passionate) terrain where the night, the sexual and the black & white take place.

Scumbag is a musical collective from Los Angeles. It was started by college students, Justin Corrál and Nicholas Perino, in 2010. Their stream of consciousness music exhibits traits of such genres as shoegaze, ambient, acoustic and awful. It takes them two to three hours to create and finish a song.

Scumbag is odd behavior and peculiar thinking. It is putting a positive spin on a contemptible or objectionable person. It is thinking about how civilization would be without pornography and wondering what would be different-maybe the architecture of buildings. It is wondering about the statistics of how frequently, persons of high society masturbate compared to the middle class. Scumbag is about discovering absurdity and treating it as seriously as possible.

Within hours of arriving in Japan, you meet this dude: another teacher; another midwesterner; another punk; another Clay. What do you do? You become best friends. You start Mock Duck.
You keep it simple, you keep it real, you keep it rad. You keep it going when one Clay moves to L.A. You send songs across the Pacific and play gigs when cash and life permit. The laughs get louder, the songs do too. You find yourself further and further removed from the music of the day, but closer and closer to your ideal sound.
When you're plugged in, just two Clays and three chords, you've got it all pretty close to figured out: kick as much ass as you can in the brief time you've been given.

SLZR (pronounced "Salazar") is a band that lives and works in Guadalajara, México.
Created by León Christian Barragán Torres, Javier Sinclair Castro Blancas and Eduardo Martínez Castillo, well known musicians on both local and national scene by their side-projects: MATA, Asunción and The Copy Violators respectibly.

In 2009 they decided to combine their talents to create a power trio. Drums, bass, guitar, synthesizers, voices and real-time digital signal processing used as an instrument as well, makes their characteristic sound. It's like dub, drum n' bass, kraut and psychedelic rock putted together, but not exactly.

In 2010 they decided to make a record that shows the sound and energy that the band has on stage.
By their own means they produced, executed, recorded and mixed three tracks in one take: Lados, Drone Party Tonite! and Rombos, are Demon Line

Letters From Readers / The Live Sessions EP IGD003 [2011]

Letters From Readers is the visionary-electronic music project of Mexicali musician/composer Gerardo Montoya. An active member of Surf Rock and Indie Pop bands, Montoya fulfilled his truer calling by formulating his own musical style on the side. When his band broke up in 2007, he found the timing right to put his energy into his own project. Letters from Readers was born under the direction of Montoya’s vision; that he would experiment and create freely and essentially formulate a one-man band, without compromising his adoration of live sound and all its’ imperfections. “I must use microphones and real drums. There are no boundaries, the world is listening and some mistakes sound good in music.”

With the help of Ruben Tamayo, The Warm Up Sessions EP was finalized and released in 2010. Montoya invited Rodo Ibarra and Valentin Torres to assist in the live performance of The Warm Up Sessions. Following its’ release, the group began working on their next undertaking which materialized this past year; The Live Sessions EP. Recorded at Emprise Soundlab in Mexicali BC, Mexico, the album is a full live recording that offers listeners a relish of the grandeur of a Letters From Readers’ performance. While The Live Sessions has a different feel from the freshman album, it still maintains the dirty, repetitive, and abstract heart that spotlights the nonpareil of Letters From Readers.

Comprised of members from some of L.A.’s most distinctive DIY bands (TPF!, Puppy Dog, Luna Is Honey), Batwings Catwings is cutting a path for themselves straight through the high dollar hustle of Hollywood to the art galleries and punk houses that are known by only the most discerning ears.

Batwings Catwings is fronted by the tiny, yet fierce dance commander Dana Poblete, an everygirl with the ability to entrance audiences from Los Angeles to the hell mouths of Mexico’s border towns with her frenetic energy and deceptively powerful howl. Backing her is guitarist and UCLA professor Pepper Glass, a master of the squelch who wields his axe with the devastating accuracy of his feared red correction pen. On the drums is L.A. blogger Clay Johnson, who cut his teeth drumming for about every metal band on the northern Midwest’s arctic front. The newest member, Josh Crampton rounds out the lineup on bass, diversifying the sound even further with his sexy funk and shoegaze influences.

January 11, 2011 signifies the release of Batwings Catwings’ first EP, “Peacock Collection”, released digitally by IndianGold Records. Recorded at L.A.’s famous Infrasonic Studios by Daniel Haworth and engineered by Pete Lyman (No Age, Best Coast, Abe Vigoda), “Peacock Collection” is a totem of modernist punk – noisy as hell with a tinge of pop and a nod to the punk rock roots of the L.A. underground.

Indiangold Records is a small netlabel formed in october of 2010 by Valentin Torres, member of the now defunct and once laureate dance punk band Maniqui Lazer and some other close collaborators.
Our main focus right now is doing digital releases, but we also plan on doing small runs of cassettes and CD-R’s in the future.
We are trying to create a space to showcase all kinds of indie, punk, electronic and experimental artists.
Our main goal is to help bands and artists to get exposure around the world.
